Maternity and newborn portraits in Houston

Maternity and newborn portraits, handled from the first call to your wall.

Hair and makeup, a stylist and more than 500 size inclusive wardrobe pieces come with the session, and our team frames and hangs the artwork in your home. It starts with a real conversation, not a booking form.

Start the conversation

What happens

You simply show up, love on your family, and leave the rest to me.

Reserve your date

It starts with a real conversation, not a booking form. We talk through what you want, what everything costs, and which dates are open. A session fee reserves the date on the calendar.

The session

Professional hair and makeup are included. A personal stylist works with you one on one through a wardrobe of more than 500 size inclusive pieces for moms, dads, babies and children, and she will work with your own clothes too. You show up and love on your family.

The viewing appointment

You see your images on a 90 inch HD screen at the studio and choose them there. Gallery walls are designed to scale against a photograph of your actual wall before anything is printed. Our framer builds the pieces in house from conservation grade materials, and our team drives over and hangs them in your home.

Bump to Baby

Reserve the maternity session and the newborn session together, in one booking. Instead of scrambling to find a newborn photographer after your baby arrives, you will already have your session secured.

A session fee reserves your date. Your artwork is chosen after the shoot, at the viewing appointment, once you have seen the images on the big screen. We talk through what everything costs on the consultation first, before anything is booked.

Every newborn session happens in the studio, and the whole experience is built for busy families: hair and makeup, a stylist, the wardrobe, the framing and the installation are all handled here.

What comes with the work

Installation is included

We drive to your home and hang the gallery wall ourselves, four to six weeks after your order. No measuring tape, no weekend lost.

Hair and makeup, included

Every session starts in the chair with Debbie of Pink Palette Artists. It is already part of your session.

Before you ask

The questions we hear most

When should I reach out?

As soon as you have a due date. We ask for it on the form so we can check the calendar against it, and reserving early is how families avoid scrambling for a newborn photographer after the baby arrives. If your baby is already here, reach out now and we will find the soonest date that works.

Where do newborn sessions happen?

In the studio, always. Our studio is located in The Heights and is where all our newborn sessions take place. It is a 1930s bungalow at 616 East 20th Street, open by appointment only.

What do I need to bring?

Nothing. Professional hair and makeup are included, and a personal stylist works with you one on one through a wardrobe of more than 500 size inclusive pieces for moms, dads, babies and children. If you have something of your own you love, she will work with that too.

How does the viewing appointment work?

You come back to the studio and see your images on a 90 inch HD screen, and you choose them there. Gallery walls are designed to scale in software against a photograph of your actual wall before anything is printed, so you know exactly how it will look. Product turnaround is about four weeks, and installation lands four to six weeks after your order.

What does it cost?

A session fee reserves your date, and your artwork is chosen after the shoot, once you have seen the images. We talk through what everything costs on the consultation, before anything is booked, so nothing at the viewing appointment is a surprise.

What kind of pictures do you make?

Simple, light and natural. Your baby will be swaddled and wrapped in ways that mimic the womb. We avoid bold colors, extensive posing and props, so that your baby and your family are the focus.
